Whiteboard Sessions – The Rest

Whiteboard Sessions – The Rest

As the day went on I took fewer notes.  I think it was because my brain was getting full and my body was getting tired. That doesn’t mean that these next three guys weren’t worth hearing. Actually, my favorite speaker of the day was James McDonald. I had followed his ministry for about ten years but never heard him speak. I really just wanted to take in the moment rather than take down his message when he spoke. I’d recommend just getting the DVD to see it for your self.  You can order the DVD of it here. Until then, here’s my notes on James McDonald, Eric Mason, and Al Mohler:

James McDonald

  • Minsitry is hard, but it’s worth it.
  • Pastors are professional forgivers. When are we more like Jesus than when we are paying a debt.
  • Forgiveness is the essence of the life transformation of the gospel.
  • Relationships end when it requires a forgiveness that I can’t grant.
  • Bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

Eric Mason

  • Gospel Centered Living: If the Gospel was your Jerry Curl, then Belief is the Activator.

Al Molher

  • Do ministry knowing you only have a short time and we’re going to die sooner than we realize. Life flies by.
